Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on the site is free to use with no account required. The site may show ads to cover its costs, but the tools themselves are always free.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no account. Just open a tool and use it.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This is the core idea of the site. Tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so your files, images, PDFs and text are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere.
Do the tools work offline?
Mostly, yes. Once a tool's page has loaded, most tools keep working even if you go offline, because the work happens in your browser. A few tools that load an extra library (such as some PDF tools) need a connection the first time.
Do any tools connect to the internet or send data to third parties?
Almost every tool runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing over the internet. The one exception is the small Live Data category — tools such as Weather, Currency, Dictionary and the ISS tracker — which fetch live information from free public APIs, so those tools do send a request to a third-party service and need a connection. They are clearly marked with a LIVE badge, and a notice appears when you open the Live Data category. No other tool sends your data anywhere.
Which browsers are supported?
Any modern browser works well — recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Some audio and file features need an up-to-date browser.
Is there a limit on file size?
There is no fixed limit set by us, but because everything runs in your browser, very large files are limited by your device's memory. If a large file struggles, try a smaller one or a more powerful device.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Yes. The site is designed to work on phones and tablets as well as desktops. A few tools are easier to use on a larger screen.
How many tools are there?
There are now over a thousand tools spanning images, PDFs, text, code, math, converters, calculators, audio, games and more, with new ones added regularly.
Is my data used for advertising?
Your files and text are never seen by us or by advertisers because they never leave your device. Ads, if shown, are served by third parties under their own policies. See our privacy page for details.
