Plenty of documents arrive with pages you do not need: a blank sheet the scanner added, a duplicate, an internal cover, an appendix that is not relevant to the person you are sending it to. Removing lets you name those pages and take them out, leaving a clean document with the rest untouched.

Remove or extract?
The choice comes down to which is the smaller list. If you only want to lose a page or two from a long file, removing them is quickest — you say what goes. If you only want to keep a few pages out of many, extracting those is easier — you say what stays. Either way the pages that remain keep their original text and quality, since nothing is flattened.

- Download the trimmed PDF without them.
Delete the dead weight
Scanned documents love to include blank backs of pages, and downloaded reports often bury the good part between filler. Removing those pages leaves a cleaner, smaller file that respects the reader's time.
Removing pages also shrinks the file, which helps if you are close to an email attachment limit.
