Redaction that actually removes the text
The dangerous thing about redacting a PDF in most editors is that a black box is just a shape laid on top; the words underneath stay in the file and can be copied straight back out. This does it properly. When you cover a region and export, the page is flattened, so the hidden text is genuinely removed rather than merely hidden — there is no text layer left beneath the black to recover.

Signing without printing
The same tool lets you sign a document without the print-sign-scan ritual: draw your signature, type it, or upload a photo of it, then drag it onto the line. On export it is flattened into the page so it cannot be moved or swapped afterwards. This is a visible signature, which everyday forms and agreements accept — it is a different thing from a certificate-based digital signature, which some formal contexts specifically require.

Black out means black out
Redaction is not the same as drawing a highlighter over text. Done properly, the hidden content is removed from the file, not just covered — so nobody can copy the text underneath or delete the box to reveal it. Flattening the page on export is what makes it permanent.
Signing in the browser keeps a document you would rather not upload — a contract, an NDA — entirely on your own machine while you complete it.
