Making it meaningful
Common little words like the and and would otherwise dominate any cloud, so a good build filters those out to leave the words that actually carry meaning. Word clouds are more impression than analysis — great for a presentation slide or a quick sense of emphasis, less so for precise measurement, where a plain frequency count serves better. Used for the right job, though, they communicate a theme in a single glance.
