Tipping varies by place
Worth remembering that tipping customs differ enormously by country. In the US a tip is effectively expected and often 18 to 20% or more, since it forms part of staff income; in much of Europe service is often included and a small round-up is plenty; in some countries tipping is not customary at all. The calculator handles the arithmetic whatever percentage you choose; knowing the local norm is what tells you which percentage is right.
